Brief Motivation
Motivation for Appointment into Board of Afrinic
I Lucky Masilela believe I am a good candidate for the board of Afrinic as I have previously served on this board and in that period have gained a lot of experience. However, I did not complete the entire term due to challenges in one of our AGM.
My background as a scientist puts me in good stead to provide a service for the greater African community and understanding principles of logical thinking and applying solutions-driven programs which have been tested and are often of an empirical nature. Furthermore, working at various levels throughout my career, moving from technical management positions to corporate and to executive, has exposed me to great depths of knowledge and general understanding of how to deal with human challenges and bring about solutions to the same.
Further to my training and my exposure at different levels, combined with my extensive travel across the globe meeting and interacting with different people at different levels, has equally given me a good base to be able to function and engage at different levels and to be able to apply the skills that I would have a acquired and confidence gained in providing and/ or giving solutions to any challenge encountered. A combination of my travels interacting at different levels has also landed me in the space where I have grown a huge network of a wide calibre of people, stakeholders, and leaders who are all in one way or another decision-makers
