Concern: Members asked about the reasons behind the failed June 2025 election.

Response: The Receiver observed certain serious irregularities concerning the election held on 23 June 2025. He thus considered it most appropriate to annul the whole election. There is presently a police investigation in the matter, thus necessitating a more secure, online-only voting system.

Concern: There was confusion around how organisations should appoint their voters.

Response: A six-step designation and verification process is in place. It includes executive sign-off, document verification, facial recognition and public confirmation to ensure only one legitimate voter per organisation.

Concern: Attendees wanted to understand the Committee’s independence and authority.

Response: The Committee was constituted by the Receiver under Article 10 of the bylaws. It is an independent committee with the responsibility to ensure a free and fair election

Concern: Many were unclear about voting rights for various member types.

Response: Only resource members (latest Sept 18, 2023) and in good standing can vote. Associate and registered members are not eligible to vote in this election.

Concern: There were questions about the transparency and auditability of the platform.

Response: The online system logs every action cryptographically. Opening and closing of voting will be livestreamed, and the list of voters and results will be publicly available.

Concern: Members reported being approached with suspicious requests.

Response: The Committee reiterated that no outside entity is authorised to collect voter information. Any such behaviour should be reported immediately to [email protected].
